Dual Top Design FLAW

Could it be solved by designing an extension arm that relocates the holder more inward? Jeep could include this with the dual top option.

Has anyone heard back from Jeep on this? I PM'd JeepCares and although they were responsive they told me to go and see my dealer. I am not sure what the dealer is going to do. They are not capable of fixing a design flaw.

I went to the dealer and told them and they looked at me like well, just don't use that. Same thing when I told them my front doors came pre-dented from factor due to over tightening of the door hinges. They just kind of said - not sure what we can do.

I set up an service appointment with my dealer. They did not have a solution other than to order another clip in case the one I have breaks. They were not very helpful. @JeepCares since there seems to be enough people with this problem we would appreciate if you could post to this thread to let us know what course of action we should take given that this is a design flaw.
