I'm just over 7000 miles on my ecodiesel and service manual says to drain the fuel filter at 10k miles and replace no later then 20k. Has anyone drained the water out of their fuel filter yet? From the looks of it, it doesn't appear to be to complicated but was wondering if anyone has crossed that bridge yet.

Where is the filter on the JL? On the Ram it's mounted to the frame directly under the driver's door. Draining it is a piece of cake. I just turn the drain valve, let the water come out, then twist to tighten. Done.

Changing the filter is much like the oil filter. Twist the entire cap off, replace filter element, replace O-ring on cap, then reinstall cap.

Hopefully on the JL it'll be that simple too.
