Doorless Mirrors?

I adapted my Kikbax to work on the JL today. All it took was a little bending of the bottom bar that hooks into the door webbing strap. I messed up the powder coating a little bit but I don’t care about that. The plastic cover even fit back into place but it’s a little tight.

I looked at these, but can't see where/how they attach without the doors. The included "directions" on the page show how to remove them from the doors, but not how/where to reinstall them.

Yeah, I think these are mislabeled. Those are mirrors that go on doors

I have these in my garage, but they are a Father’s Day gift from my kids. They don’t know I’m the one that ordered them lol. So I have to play along and wait another week to install

Wow. That looks like it might be the best one. I think I’m a believer. I think I’ll buy one. Just for Jeeps sells it too eh?

Vibration is typically the biggest issue with all of these. I hope that a good solution is developed. I can use shaky ones for a bit until then. On my current 2007 JK I use the brackets that allow you to relocate the factory mirrors to the hinge and they’re awesome. If that brackets fits the new hinge then I can order a pair of JK replacement mirrors and call it a day. However, the JK has a 3 bolt hinge pattern inside the door jamb and I think the JL has only 2 bolts. I doubt it would line up the same.

Installed my Lange Coyote Mirrors today. Worked well around town. Will get out on the highway tomorrow

Cool. I was talking to them (the owner, forget his name) at the NJ Jeep Invasion this weekend, they had a booth there. I told them how much I love their mirror mounts and asked about the JL. He told me that they should have them in August some time.

I was considering adapting my current JK mirrors, but I'll probably just wait now for the JL specific ones.
