Door arm thingy stuck

Hi,
Sorry for the noob question. I took my driver door off since the weather is nice and the arm thingy is stuck in and wont come out. What can I do to fix this? There are 2 nuts i can take off, would that allow me to fix?

Close the door enough to put the cab side screw Back through it then open the door.

since you are half way out try to screw it in place and than just open the door to pull it out.
They are really stiff. Alternatively you can use a wire / cord and as a extension to attach it tp the screw and open the door. All in all the door is your leverage
