Did you ever solve this issue?I forgot to mention - my Jeep is at the paint shop until Christmas having its corrosion on the doors and hood corrected. So I couldnāt fix the door ajar issue right now even if I wanted to lol. 84 hours of laborā¦. Luckily still under the corrosion warranty.
I went through the wiring diagram and found that the lock actuator assembly is whatās responsible for triggering the door ajar, unlike most vehicles that have a dedicated sensor. I bought the actuator and still havenāt installed it. Been on the back burner for a while but Iāll probably replace it in the next few weeks. Iāll let you know if it works. I assume it will.Did you ever solve this issue?
I'm having the same problem on my 2018 JL - driver side passenger door.
It doesn't recognize if the door is open and doesn't turn on dome lights.
Pretty much no vehicle has a door ajar switch anymore. It has been something like 20 years on that.I went through the wiring diagram and found that the lock actuator assembly is whatās responsible for triggering the door ajar, unlike most vehicles that have a dedicated sensor. Now Iām going to have to check my other vehicles. Didnāt realize that. My first gen sequoia has one and I havenāt noticed in my ā24 pathfinder.Pretty much no vehicle has a door ajar switch anymore. It has been something like 20 years on that.
