  2. How do you refill 3.6 radiator? There’s no cap?

That’s what I was afraid of. You wouldn’t happen to have a copy of the procedure from the service manual would you? I’ve been considering buying a disc of it on eBay. If I can get the tools to do it myself for a reasonable price I may still attempt.
  3. How do you refill 3.6 radiator? There’s no cap?

Does anyone know? I can only find videos of JKs…
  4. How do you refill 3.6 radiator? There’s no cap?

I’m thinking it’s the same procedure except now the pressurized reservoir is the highest point in the system instead of the radiator cap. Can anyone confirm that’s how it works? Seems Like coolant lines have to be pulled to pull the bank 1 valve cover.
  5. How do you refill 3.6 radiator? There’s no cap?

I may end up pulling some coolant lines soon and introducing some air into the system. I don’t understand the procedure for refilling the rad and getting the air out. My other vehicle, a 1st gen sequoia, has the typical cap on the radiator that I’ve filled/primed from to get all the air out...
  6. Cam Phaser code advice P000B and P0013

Hey Everyone, Check engine light recently came on in the JL. 3.6L. Last week I read the codes, came up as P000B Bank 1 Cam 2 position slow response and P0013 Bank 1 Cam 2 actuator circuit open. Check engine turned off for a week, came back yesterday. This time it's P000B again. Since one...
  7. Shop Negligence?! What now?

back in August I had an issue with my JL pulling right initially when braking. The problem ended up being one of the front brake lines. The OEM lines were on back order, so the shop installed some synergy braided stainless steel lines. Problem solved, or so I thought. fast forward to this...
  8. Door ajar switch stopped working

I forgot to mention - my Jeep is at the paint shop until Christmas having its corrosion on the doors and hood corrected. So I couldn’t fix the door ajar issue right now even if I wanted to lol. 84 hours of labor…. Luckily still under the corrosion warranty.
  9. Door ajar switch stopped working

Keep us updated on what the fix ends up being. You’ve got me a little scared that it’s the wiring harness. Easy enough to check continuity on some wires but that repair would suck.
  10. Door ajar switch stopped working

I looked at the wiring diagrams available on the forums and found that the door ajar sensor is part of the latch mechanism. So I bought a new latch mechanism back in June and haven’t had a chance to install it yet. Been traveling a lot for work in the second half of the year. Probably won’t...
  11. Lifter failure prevention

That fan controller sounds like a really interesting option. I have noticed that my JL will get up to about 215-220 when wheeling before the fan kicks up to high. Did you give any thought to running one of those coolant additives to keep temps down? Or maybe that won't work with a variable...
  12. Lifter failure prevention

Hey Everyone, I've been reading a fair bit about pentastar lifter failures, and wanted to see what the consensus is on the baxter performance oil filter adapter with anti-drainback valve? Do y'all think it would prevent lifter failure by reducing/preventing dry starts? And how common is the...
  13. Virginia JLU Soft Top

Any chance this is still available?
  14. Door ajar switch stopped working

nope, haven’t had the rear doors off since last year
  15. Door ajar switch stopped working

I realize I may have posted this at a time that not a lot of people were on the forum. Does anyone know exactly how the JL’s know that a door is open? I can’t find any part number for a separate door ajar switch. So is it in the latch mechanism?
  16. Door ajar switch stopped working

I have a 2019 JLUS and I’ve just realized that my Jeep does not know when the drivers side rear door is opened. The window and lock still work, but the dome light won’t trigger for that door. Does anyone know where the door ajar switch is located? I suspect it’s built into the latch mechanism...
  17. water on passenger floor after rain

Unfortunately, I’m not sure my answer is going to be particularly helpful. I only had water in the passenger front footwell, but my Jeep is always parked pointed downhill. I do believe that there’s a bump in the tub under the front seats that would prevent water from running into the passenger...
  18. water on passenger floor after rain

Yep, still fixed. I’ve redone the RTV on the Mucket seal once, when the problem recurred about 6 months ago.
  19. Massachusetts Insane Audio JL3001 ($850)

Can you change volume on screen, or does it have to be with the steering wheel buttons?
  20. JL taken out by runaway trailer! Is driveline damaged?

I really like this idea that perhaps once your vehicle makes the transition to the category of unreliable sh*tbox, the parking brake then becomes an emergency brake, regardless of what it was called before.
