Seems like it's just one negative story after another, some jeeps have problems, it's very frustrating I get it! I'm certainly not rubbing it in to those who are. At this time, I'm not having any problems and I really & truly hope it stays that way. Right now, I'm just enjoying my Jeep. On road, off-road, after market accessories, it's a blast to drive around.
Is anyone else having good luck and enjoying their Jeep?
This post appears on every forum since the beginning of time. You are on an internet forum. Forums are literally built so people can come together to diagnose, troubleshoot, and otherwise look for solutions to both common and uncommon issues about a particular product. Of course you are going to see all of the "negative" experiences, this is literally the intent of a forum - to concentrate questions, answers, and solutions in one place. It has no bearing on how prone a particular product is to issues.
Go to any forum for any product - Toyota, Apple products, guns, home networking, VR headsets. It will be the same. People don't seek these places out just to exclusively say "hello! no issues here!" - just like people don't call tech support and wait on hold to tell the rep that they're simply enjoying their product.
I enjoy my JL and for the most part it's been issue free. At 1200 miles I had a catastrophic heater core failure that had the Jeep disassembled at a dealer for a month, my 2-door front seats have been permanently stuck in the folded forward position, the notorious plastic oil cooler has leaked and needed replacement and I've bent a front axle housing. But now at 55,000 miles and the vast majority of it has been lots of fun wheeling and daily driving.
