Your aux battery, for Jeeps with eTorque, is actually mounted under the Jeep. It's 48 volts and has it's own cooling system and is covered with a skid plate.
When you have the opportunity, I would like to see the mounts up close. Maybe a seperate post would be appropriate so you can focus on the box in this one. I have been considering this same thing, but was unsure how to proceed.
My 2018 JL was a bare bones Sport, 2L Turbo. Manual locks, windows, etc. I love it! I then was able to add the things I wanted without messing with some integrated systems.
Exactly! In fact, this year the weather cooperated enough that I took off the hard top and didn't put the soft top on for about 3 weeks. Now the soft top is on and it only takes a few minutes to remove or add the doors and windows as needed.
I change from the hardtop to the TrekTop in April and then switch back in November. It takes me about an hour to 2 hours to do it by myself, depending on how I feel that day. If I have help, it can all be done in under an hour. I made a lift/hanger in the garage for the hardtop to keep it out of...
Exactly this. I also have the TrekTop and it is nice, but I want a fully retractable top, tan would be nice. Give me zippered windows instead of C channel.
I have ordered directly from China and I have ordered from American companies that design their equipment and then have them manufactured in China. I have no problem ordering and using parts from anywhere in the world as long as it is of good quality. I have also bought American made parts that...
I plan on testing it at home on my Jeep and on my Toyota Rav4, on individual tires and by using my MorrFlate for airing all 4 tires on the Jeep. Then I'm going offroading and using it in every climate and weather condition I can get to. I usually set an air pump on the ground at the back of the...
Finally found the issue. Part #68142904AB. This little guy must have had a fault in the connector that caused it to break slightly with continued heating and cooling, making it intermittently trip the check engine light. It finally broke completely. Here are pics of the part, the broken part and...
They should fit a 22 with no issues. I didn't paint them. I left them black, but it shouldn't be hard to paint them. A little light sanding and a primer and you should be good to go.
The wetness on the diff is from the shop doing the regear work. The wetness on the floor is from me soaking the old muffler connection with WD40 so I could get it loose.
I am firmly in 1D! A 2018 2 Door 2.0 Turbo with 8 speed auto and stock as a sport gets when I bought it. Now I have:
- 3.5" TeraFlex lift with Falcon Monotube shocks
- 35x12.5x17 Mud Claw Extreme tires on 9.5x17 rims with a -6 offset
- 4.88 differential gears
- AmFib Upper/Lower Snorkel
- EAG...
