I received notice for the coolant leak recall. Do I need to remove the remote starter I installed before I go to the dealership? I assume I need to remove my taser mini.

Without question you should unmarry and remove your Tazer JL... and be sure to be sure the Security Gateway cables(2) get reconnected to the gateway or plugged into the ends of your ZAutomotive security gateway extension cable.

When at the dealership and anybody asks you if you run a programmer on your JL, say no.. Say no, play dumb so to speak.

As for your aftermarket remote start unit.. You will be fine leaving that installed.

Note: Some guys will install a remote start unit on a manual tranny vehicle... IF that is you, then for obvious safety reasons, I would disable the remote start unit before the vehicle goes to the dealer.

You need to unmarry the Tazer JL. Now, disconnect the two cables that are plugged into the Tazer JL. Plug those two cables back in at the Security Gateway.

A guy that has the benefit of having a ZAutomotive security gateway extension cable would just take the 2 cables he disconnected from the Tazer JL and plug them into the end of his extension cable.
