Get a hammer and tap the side of the starter motor. It’s probably a sticker solenoid. If that fixes it. Replace the starter motor
Remedied the problem a few posts above.

I take issue with the blanket statement "Some folks are having problems with the Tazer draining batteries".

To be very clear... only with a specific firmware that ZAutomotive had out/ had made available awhile back were guys/gals having battery(s) depletion issues thanks to the Tazer JL with that specific firmware on it.

With that said, it is always a good move when having issues to take the Tazer JL out of the mix for awhile.. while you try to ferret out a problem.

I only have replied here to mention this, so novice, Tazer JL owner's don't get spooked/mislead reading your post.
