I've been lurking the forums for the last 2 weeks, trying to find those with a similar issue and still wondering what could be wrong.

To start: it had been cold here in the Northeast for a couple of weeks, around 10-15F. My Jeep wasn't always starting via remote (batteries were brand new), you'd see one flash of the lights and then just a click but no start. Went through the normal things like doors not shut, etc but to no resolve. Starting inside the vehicle with the push start would typically yield a start no problems, although a couple of times it was just dead, not turning over at all but all lights on per normal. Jumped back to life and was fine. Battery voltage was registering at 14.1V minimum, usually hanging out around 14.5+ on the dash. From a cold start, voltage still showing fine and even testing with a volt meter was showing proper voltage. To make sure I wasn't crazy, I had Autozone test the main battery, also perfectly fine. Ok, moving on.

I kept finding articles pointing to the dreaded aux battery. I should say my auto start / stop has worked twice in the past year at very random times, otherwise from the dealership (not new) it always said "not ready" so I assumed the last owner turned that off some way (still has fuse and both neg's to main battery) - fine with me, I don't care for it. One random rainy day it decided to shut off at a red light and didn't know why then. Regardless... I went ahead and replaced in the AUX battery, which upon removal was testing OK, not the highest of voltage but still not low enough to feel like it was an actual issue.

And here we are: it got cold again today, low teens overnight. Remote start no go and a bit of a slow turnover from the push start inside but it was fine from there, driving around and stopping a few places today. Voltage still normal. So now this leads me to wonder if I may be dealing with a bad starter? Sitting at just over 70k miles and I replaced the aux for nothing.

While I haven’t had this issue because I have ETorque, I have read that both batteries should be replaced simultaneously.
I had come across some posts saying that, and it definitely makes sense. It seemed back-and-forth however that if an AUX battery was going, it would drain the main and present issues. I just seemed to be at a standstill since both were testing fine, maybe a false positive? Frustrating, to say the least.

Always replace the main and aux at the same time, unless you plan on bypassing the aux.

It's not clear from your posts how you were testing batteries. If you're using a DMM, that's insufficient as the voltage should be tested under load. A battery tester that does this is cheap to get, about $20.
From your descriptions, it is almost certainly a battery problem.

If there is a faint “clicking” sound, this could be due to a low battery or a faulty starter motor. And you've already tested the battery, so it could also be the motor?
I've seen a Scotty video on this before, not sure if it will help.

If you replaced the battery yourself are you sure you didn’t blow a fuse? Very easy to pop the main fuse when replacing the aux if you don’t disconnect the main battery ground.

I had an identical issue. I replaced the main starting battery and the remote start worked fine after that.

Check the battery’ with switch on but Jeep not running. Check that way. If you start it and check it will give you a false reading

What did you replace it with? Just curious.
I went to my local Batteries Plus store and bought their Duracell Platinum line SLA battery, I think it was a group 48 size. No issues so far, the Duracell line is, from what I was told, made by Deka which I know has a pretty good reputation in battery quality.
