Don‘t know if this is THR right place to post this or not? But a few years ago I bought my tires at DT. They described the warranty and stuff. I usually decline warranties because honestly I won’t keep up with them. But DT offered a free 5-way rotation when I got my tires. I just had my third or fourth balance and rotation...for free…just as DT said.

We have a lot of great vendors to pick from. And based on my experience, I’d put Discount Tire at the top of the list.

Discount Tire always comes up on this forum with rave reviews… and I always end up wishing they had a store closer to me in Northern Rhode Island. Closest store is apparently down in Warwick… gonna have to make the trip to buy my next set of tires from them, definitely. 👍

Finally getting one locally..supposed to be opening in 2026 sometime and really close to me. i do my own rotations but be nice to get rebalances without a hassle and they have great prices..my closest one now is 120 miles away and I have used them when I got my mickey thompson pizza cutters and were still cheaper than my local mickey thompson tire dealer...they also replaced one with a sidewall cut no issues at all other than I had to drive there and back..

+1 for @Discount Tire. They've always treated me well servicing multiple vehicles over the years. I'd not hesitate to buy my next set of tires from them. I do my own rotations though. With the CHMSL wire being a little funky through the spare's holes and at the pace those guys move - I figure it's just a matter of time until something bad happens. I don't hold it against the tech's - they're working hard. But no one cares as much about my Jeep as I do.

Happy with Discount Tire. Had them install new tires on three vehicles this year.

Happy with them on balance, but, they are so damn picky about their “rules”. I bought high dollar Michelins for the 4R that out lasted their time limit and they refused the free repair because they were a couple months over it and I had to go elsewhere and pay. … They also insisted on unnecessarily R&R’ing the trim rings on my Jeep, but to their credit didn’t charge extra. … but I blame this one on Jeep since they give us nothing to show the tire shops it isn’t necessary.

I have never seen a Discount Tire shop in Rhode Island. According to the store locator the nearest store is over 150 miles away. Tire Rack is a part of Discount Tire and they are an online shop. You buy the tires online and they are shipped to a local installer of your choice.

I recently got my wheels and tires from DT, they price matched coupons from
Method I had. Customer service was great. I got a new set of tires for my Ram as well. Didn’t get the warranty, but mounting, balancing and rotation is free for the life of the tires are included when you buy from them.

I don’t know if they will do 5 tire rotation or not though.

DT will do 5 tire rotations. They've also done free rotations for tires not bought at DT, factory tires on my Tundra. When I needed the Tundra tires balanced they did charge for balancing. They've always treated me right. I've bought 4 sets of tires from them in about 3 years.

Unfortunately they won't mount beadlocks, so they lost that sale, but they've had all my other stuff for years. They will 5 tire rotate and balance the beadlocks.

Was disappointed when we lost the forum rep service a couple years back, Matt was great.

I do always tip the guys in the garage like $20 to buy the team a 12er. They earn it throwing around my heavy stuff and putting up with me watching them the whole time.

I’ve used them for years and always had good service. They’ve always rotated and balanced OEM tires on my new vehicles. Their expectations are you will come to them when the OEM tires need to be replaced. They used to barter on tires; sweeten the deal and I’m not talking about taking off the road hazard coverage, but those days are gone. The price they give you is fixed these days. If buying from them a Discount Tire credit card is your friend; 5 percent discount and 6-9 months same as cash.

The only problem I encountered with them was they were doing a 5 tire rotation on the Jeep after a repair and apparently in lifting that big heavy 315/70 chipped or cracked the backup camera lense. It now looks like there is a small bug or dirt on it, which was what I thought until I washed it. I never went back on them, where would my proof be. So I live with it.

Many years ago, on one of my trips to Alaska, I stopped enroute at DT in Seattle and bought a new set of wheels and tires for my 2000 Wrangler. Afterward, I hooked it up to the motorhome and hauled it to Palmer, Alaska. I unhooked it at the Palmer Elks lodge and headed into town. I immediately noticed that I had a lot of squirrely stuff happening that led me to believe I might have a loose wheel. Turns out that all 4 of the brand new wheels were loose and while towing it to Alaska the bolt holes had been ovaled on all 4 wheels. I called DT in Seattle, told them that they apparently did not tighten the lug nuts and I needed a new set of wheels. The Manager of the Seattle store asked me to take it to a local tire shop to verify the "problem" and send him some pictures of the damage to each of the 4 wheels ( the spare was still unused). 4 days later 4 new wheels arrived at the Alaska tire shop from Seattle and were installed. The Seattle DT paid for the entire thing! Needless to say, I won't buy tires nywhere else.

Sheesh. :LOL::CWL:

Your whole state is less than a third the size of my county — which isn’t a particularly big one. From the map it looks like you could criss-cross the state a few times in an afternoon. How long could the drive to Warwick be? 30 minutes? :CWL:
