Death wobbles resolved today!!

I have only had one problem in 17k miles - bad steering dampener which caused death wobbles. Dealer checked and found bad steering dampener, ordered the new fixed steering dampener which arrived in 3 days. Installed this morning and I can take pot holes like a champ again.

Hate to rain on your parade... really I do. But steering stabilizers don't "FIX" death wobble, they "MASK" it.
I believe there is a design issue with the JL suspension, and my current guess is it is related to the steering box and electronic steering pump.

My current setup is mostly stable but every once in awhile I will hit a bump that will give me wobble (back and forth about 2-3 times).

FWIW... I have also masked my wobble with a dual steering stabilizer.

Don't get me wrong... if my guess is right, they will provide a software update that will change the way the electronic pump does it's job, and this will solve most if not all of the Death Wobble issues.

You and I and I'm sure many others are waiting on such an update.

I'm not recommending this Stabilizer.... it was just cheap and relocated it up and out of the way.

I didn’t think a new Stabilizer Shock would fix my problem but it sure has so far with not one hiccup. Back to loving my Jeep again.

Not having any issues with steering at 2k on the odo but I ordered this today just to go ahead and get it out of the way. No plans on lifting anytime soon, seems like lifting leads to more of a headache than a benefit IMO.

I have a Jeep JL Sahara 2018 with under 7k on it now and brought it in for a sever death wobble, they put a stabilizer on it and it's better but I still get the wobble, and now my steering seems to wander. Will be bringing it back. :/

Same here. Replacement stabilizer masked the problem for about 3 weeks and now the wobble is getting progressively worse again, along with a new wandering in the steering. Back to the shop.

Picked mine up after they did an alignment, yet steering still wanders and still has the wobble after they apparently tightened the stabilizer parts.

US Customer Care [email protected] had reached out to me yet I was busy at work so I asked if they could email me the info, so I could call back. I called back today and was on hold for 1 1/2 hrs, so I hung up.

Didn’t work for me. It’s actually worse and happens at lower speeds.
