Seems awfully confusing. Really don't see the point in two different levels. Just asking for and idiot like me to overfill it, or under.
Yeah, it doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

I know you're a machinist and probably want to do it yourself, but Barnes down in Mills River has some cool stuff and may give you some inspiration:

I've used him in the past, a long time ago,, but making it myself lets me engrave it....I gotta weld my air compressor Mount so I will take a picture of last one I did...it's a cartoon version of wife's last trail rig....

Custom is just that 😁

Might see more if you google Team Turtle or turtlemechanic ,built a bunch, center was 3/8 thick which gave me material to mill flat and then engrave an 1/8 deep with anything I wanted.

Only one level. Bottom is level, Top is fill. By the way, why don’t we get a drain plug in the Advantek M210-M220 ?

So, a couple of us Ole farts would get together and make stuff to give to the "kids" when they showed up for events, you know the ones that show up 1st time with like a bag of chips and a box of pop tarts for the weekend 😂

Mama turtle always fed her "kids"

I'd make these diff protectors to keep the stamped rear diff covers out of the ring gear, they worked awesome and were cheap and easy to make.
The new wheelers loved a mod they could do at the campsite.

Use the bottom hole. I just had to replace my front diff cover, and per Dana’s written material, the top hole is used if your pinion angle has changed.

I read somewhere that Dana said something about the angle of the pinion gear when lift kits cause steeper angle, I’m not sure but I think the top one is for steeper angle. 🤷
