Custom Vinyl Decal Work?

Has anyone successfully worked with a vinyl/decal company and gotten some custom work done? If so, can you recommend the company and/or provide some links? I don't know if I'm cursed or what, but this exact thing has happened with three different companies (who shall remain nameless), and I don't have the energy to micro-manage people...

Me: Hey, I would like to have some custom work done. Is that something you can do?
Company: (Immediately) Definitely! Send me over your ideas!
Me: Here are a bunch of images to work from, some reference materials, and what I'm hoping to see at the end.

Pixledecals seems to be the go-to guy around here. I've only read positive stuff.

I'm sending over images and files that they would use as source material to design something.

@DOOKEY - can you work with jpg images or do you need vector images? I'm thinking of something for the tailgate on a Gladiator, or something for the hood so it would be a fairly large size.

I and my GF have independently used Etsy. I first heard about that from Adam Savage from Mythbusters fame. GF got me a custom keychain and decal (separately) and I got some decals.
