There’s something to be said about being dialed in, but I understand wanting to keep building.
Your build and the work you do are some of my favorite reads on this forum.

Well this where me and Colby are now…. posting these kinda mods…… ….

It blows being finished with phase 1 of my build. It sucks the worst when I’m working on a lift or steering or gears or whatever…it makes me want to do something to mine…?

Phase 2…is tons, 4Ds, and coil overs/bypasses etc… so it’s gonna be a minute for the next phase….but It’s so dialed in right now, I’m almost afraid to go to the next stage to be honest….? ….

So this is where we’re at… does anyone have any recommendations for sill guards and screen savers…..?
First of all, it is your Jeep, your wallet and go for it and I will support 100%.

That said other than the 1 tons which I suggest Dynatrac for that option because that is what I ran the other stuff just does not offer much if you are a rock crawler like myself, if your flavor in Jeeping is something else then I cannot address that.

But with a few more mods you would be ready for Baja 1000 racing...

More than likely I’ll go with Dynatracs but I’m looking for boneyard axles (ford 9”, or GM 14 bolt) since I need them stripped clean of all brackets so I can put on the RK long arm kit…. So far haven’t found anything decent enough….but I’m in no hurry, not even sure I’m doing Phase 2….? ….

When I had my shop I was a dealer for Dynatrac and Jim (owner) builds great stuff. My Jeep was in their catalog for years.

Jim's business is not offroad, that is a subset of his business., They are an OEM supplier to Ford and other companies and he builds custom axles for extreme trucks that go all over the world, oil rigs and things like that.

Ford 9" would be sweet, you could then swap out the third member for your racing gears when you put on the racing slicks and hit the 1/4 mile between rock crawling adventures  :like: ?

Seen a couple nice project CJs here in TX. May have to send you a link when I see one again. Not a fun drive to haul back those.

She’s 5 years old today…..can’t believe it…. I’m very thankful and fortunate to have gotten one of the good ones the first model year……..I enjoy working on it and using it as much as I did when I first got it….actually more now that I have it built the way I want it…

Thanks and a shout out to this board and my buds for all the tips, shortcuts, and ideas,…. appreciatecha! …..?

The plan as of right now, is to keep her… the way things are right now, I wouldn’t want to buy another one just yet anyway…..so a hemi or Chevy swap, tons, 40s, bypasses/coil overs are all on the table…?

Congrats on all you've done, and possibly where this is going, this sounds like you may be kicking things up a notch or two ?

Yeah, factoring in labor and you're like around $150k so I'm thinking your plan sounds solid AF!
But at least it's your labor, as I have little doubt you're one to trust anyone else messin' w/ your stuff.

Oh I forgot, have to factor in price for old style grill…..no offense to the ones that have the new grill, but I can’t get the compass out of my head when I look at it…
