I know a little less than nothing about the Bronco, nor do I care to, lol…,but he said he doesn’t have electronic sway bar disconnect, that he would have to go down a trim to get it, or up to the raptor……. That doesn’t make sense to me. His is the wildpeak or some shit……?‍♂ …… I didn’t believe him so he showed me, sure enough there’s a blank where the sway bar switch is supposed to be………..

Stupid work is nuts right now, been trying to get a couple days to tackle my gears but it’s impossible right now… I considered having them done, but don’t really want to do that…… it’s not the cost, it’s more to do with the fact I enjoy wrenching on my rig as much as driving/wheeling it, it’s therapeutic…….? ……me and Colby did manage to squeeze in a oil change though……

I think I might go ahead and order rear axle shafts and maybe Artec front axle truss…..

@Discount Tire , any updates on 38/13.50/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers ? Thanks
Damn these tires are getting EXPENSIVE - $600+ per tire ?. I paid like $350 a tire for my RG 37s two years ago.

No kidding. If I were in the market today, there’s no way I’d pay an extra $100/tire for a 38” vs 37” (using Discount Tire pricing as a reference). Ridiculous.

To put it in perspective, a 40” Trail Grappler is $30 CHEAPER than the 38” ($558 vs $588).

Yeah I know they’re stupid expensive but I’m not gonna run 40s on the D44s. I know guys do it, but I don’t want to keep looking over my shoulder every time I get a little rough with her….. My build goal for this rig is what I’ve done so far with 4.88s and 38s being the last pieces of the puzzle.…. If and when I decide to go next level, I’ll do axles and coil overs or DTD or whatever becomes the latest and greatest shock/spring option by then……?

I have been waiting for long time for tires to regroup with all this shipping issues and now that stores all over have overloaded stock on everything but still don't see overstock on tires and haven't heard anything that might point to that.

Anyone heard or see any future info about tires being overstocked and prices go back to norm? Hope this is not the norm with rubber. :swear::swear:

And yes, Roky I still keep up with your posts. See below photo.

There’s no need to defend your build to me; I’m just frustrated as a consumer. Tires have increased in price since COVID a ridiculous amount, and the pricing on Nitto’s lineup makes absolutely no sense other than “because we can”. It just feels bad.

Awesome build & thread! Was thinking about going with the MC 3.5" but this has me reconsidering for the RK long arm 3.5 adventure-x. Curious on your shock selection - did you consider the coilover option from RK vs the Fox 2.5"? Also are you still running the exact center vs the Fox ATS you previously had - and how would you compare those two? Thanks!

Thanks Jason, appreciatecha……

I went back and forth about coil overs, and will probably end up with them. But decided that running longer shocks with 3.5” coils I could achieve over 12” of shock travel which on 37s is good enough for me.

My next phase will be tons and 40s, at which time I’ll likely add coil overs…. But I’m gonna enjoy this phase for a while ……

I am still running the EC stabilizer, and it’s working great…..The Fox ATS is also great..the biggest difference for me was the Fox doesn’t really have a hold on center, or a good return to center…. EC has an IFS steering feel to it….Another plus was my RK track bar would rub the resi on the Fox, when in certain articulation situations. Ive got plenty of room for everything now…….
