Hey fam, yet another help noloc45 thread!

So I recently put 315s on my 2019 Rubi and also the Mopar lift. Only modification to the lift were the Rock Krawler spring pads and I did some rough country adjustable control arms.

Every torqued correctly. Had an alignment done right after.

On road everything sounds fine.

But last week I took her to NC and went to Hurricane Creek. On some of the harder parts, I could hear a lot of creaking and popping happening. Sort of like when your lifting weights and your elbow angle is wrong and it "pops"

Any ideas what I should look at first. Seems to happen on the more "flex" parts of the trail if that makes sense.

I then did a more tame trail and heard absolutely nothing.

I appreciate everyone here!

I'd first retorque the control arm bolts. I had a rear upper control arm bolt (frame end) that loosened up on my first off-road trip maybe 50 miles after installing my lift. About a year ago, I had to tighten that one up again.

Both times it made a sound just like you are describing. I had to check them all to figure out which was causing the noise.

If those are good then I'd check the jam nut or whatever holds your adjustable control arms at their length. I'm not so familiar with those, but whatever it is most likely involves what you just installed.

If all is good then start with other things like cross member bolts and other suspension bolts.

I hope that helps!

Btw, how was Hurricane Creek? Lots of ruts? Every time I go there parts of the trail vary quite a bit as to their condition. I also take a trash bag and pick up trash where we can. They've closed it before because of people trashing it. We always enjoy that trail/road and stopping at Max Patch.

Go over every bolt that was touched, when they put the lift on. Even the tires.
When I had my suspension swapped, many bolts were not torqued properly. They a!so loosen up, over time, sometimes.

Welcome to max flex wheeling, lol. Shit hits shit when you’re lifted and in maximum flexed situations. I was on the Mopar back when I first got my rig and with the 2.5” shock diameter, it would contact the frame, also when you fully stuff the spring it will sometimes contact the frame.

I’m not saying it’s not something loose or not torqued, I’m just saying it’s likely the nature of the beast instead.

Especially if you’re in 4L then you hear all kinds of things, mostly the U joints binding and such.

Definitely check all nuts and bolts as these guys suggested, but it’s likely normal shit you’re hearing.

One more thing to check, if you didn’t replace the track bar, is to check to see if your axle is shifted to the drivers side, this will also contribute to the shock/spring frame contact.

Thanks for advice, will do after the Thanksgiving Holiday!
