Also in the buggy U connect club as well and even with multiple dates photos AND VIDEO, My dealer said they couldn't take that as proof and couldnt replicate the problem so there is nothing wrong with it........I have always been a jeep guy, but them not taking care of these problems has me thinking twice on that.

I went through the exact same thing with the uconnect, unless it happens in the dealership, they won’t do anything... even with countless pictures and video proof.. and my passenger seat makes the noise as well.. only when someone is sitting in it..still can’t believe there is no recall, how it this not a safety issue???, @JeepCares already pm’d me about it..I’m just dreading bringing it to the useless dealership...

Im in the Club as well now! Took the jeep to my dealer and tehy tried to tell me its normal jeeps are just noisy.....I said hell no Ive had three jeeps a 2009 JKU a 2012 JKUR and a 2018 JLUR and this is the only one this noise happens to. Also its not happening to the other seat so its not "normal". We shall see what they do if anything.

when I had this problem with my passenger seat, I found that if I grabbed the seat back with my hands, I could wiggle it side-to-side and recreate the noise for the dealer. they fixed it (replaced seat frame) once I demonstrated the noise in their parking lot.
I did this with the repair lady. Sat in recreated it she said oh yeah I hear that. 3 days later I get a call from them and she says "the tech said the seat noise was normal, jeeps are jsut noisy and are like that" I quickly called that out and said "oh really why then when i sit in all of the other jeeps on your lot this doesnt happen AND why doesnt it happen on my drivers seat?". The also said "well the fan being on so loud when the A/C is on is normal thats the way it is supposed to be and we couldnt recreate the lunging" Called them out again and told them the TSB # to repair two of the reasons i brought it in that they said they couldnt recreate" after hearing all this I said it sounds like you have a tech that is not wanting to do any work here is the number to flash on my computer and the seat needs to have the bracket ordered because this is a on going problem and a safety issue." got a call 20 min later that they were flashing my computer and ordered the seat bracket but couldnt do anythign about the U connect.....So tired with dealing with a dealership that doesnt want to take care of their customers. I LOVE JEEPS and this is my 3rd one in 7 years, but they need to fix these issues at teh dealerships to take care of us like we take care of them with our loyalty.

I have the creaky front passenger seat also. Took it in on Friday and was told the lower frame needed to be replaced and the part is on back-order. At least they acknowledge the problem and will do something about it.

Took my Moab in Friday and they ordered the parts for the seat which are on back-order. The quality control stinks. My Moab has been in for repairs so many times. Sos, assist, transmission, seat, radio, back up camera. They won’t can’t repair the trans, can’t repair the Sos or Assist. Star cases no progress and just lip service from Jeep customer service.

You need a different dealer.

2018 JLU
I brought my 2018 JLU to the dealership 3 weeks ago regarding the noisy passenger seat issue. They ordered parts which took about 2 weeks to arrive. Took the Jeep to the dealer last week to have the parts installed as well as a check as to why my check engine light would come on for a couple of days and then go off. They updated computer software and installed the seat frame rail. Drove away from the dealership and the first turn I made, the seat noise was still present! Additionally the latch for the center console seems to have broken now. I am disappointed in this Jeep, wish I still had my 2011 JKU even with its powerless engine. It did not have passenger seat noise, a broken console latch, nor the wind noise in general that the JLU has. If this was my first Jeep, I would be thinking twice on ever buying another!

I am with you on that. Mine has been one issue after another, so much that FCA is buying mine back. I also have the seat creak. It drives my crazy as with every turn it makes the noise. Seems to be worse the hotter it gets, and here in AZ that is only going to get worse lol. I am hoping my re-order with my 2020 does not have all these issues. It was tough to order another JL as I have also never had issues like this with a JK. If it was not for a few features of the JL I would have went with the JK instead.
