@JeepCares hello, I am
Having the same issue and dealership stated theyā€™re unaware of this issue with wranglers. Can you help me contact a location to explain this? My Jeep is 3 weeks old.

My seat is rattling but I got my jeep used from a non jeep dealer, would jeep cover this repair still or am I going to have to pay out of pocket?

I just bout a jeep and was having the same issue. Going through dozens of forums I found where mine is coming from. I will try to upload a picture tonight. I fixed it with just some grease.

Great. Please do!

Mine does the same thing. Kind of a creak/clunk when the weight of the passenger shifts around.

Just wanted to add Iā€™m also in this club. Been that way for a while now. Has anyone happen to take a snap shot of where to apply the grease? Iā€™d like to fix this without going to the dealer if itā€™s possible.

I had to make the repair myself. Pretty straight forward. Photos follow. Remove 4 bolts that anchor seat. Lean set forward, then push headrest to the right and out the door opening. Remove two screws holding plastic cover. Apply grease to outside of circular opening and BE SURE TO APPLY to the back side also. You can grab the seat bracket and put a foot on the bracket at the floor and move it a bit to replicate the creaking noise amd work the grease around. You can then see the movement causing the problem. I thought the grease soultion would not work but it did! Thanks forum!

Thatā€™s awesome. Thank you for the pics. Iā€™ll take care of this sometime with week as the noise is annoying when my wife and family ride with me.

Love this forum too!

You were right on how easy it was to do. I just added axle grease to mine. Will see how it does next time I have a passenger in there. I did add the grease all around quiet well. Hopefully it works.

I have a feeling Iā€™ll be doing this myself when I get my Jeep back from the dealer...literally brought it in for this problem, first thing I was told that they replaced somebody elseā€™s and it didnā€™t fix anything.. itā€™s just the way jeeps are... :CWL: then complained about my negative review I left from my last visit.. true story.....canā€™t make this stuff up...

It didnā€™t help mine after all. Iā€™ll have to take it in when I get back in town.

I've had the same problem for a few months now, brought to the dealer's attention and we will see what they come up with. I won't hold my breath. I want to apply the grease fix but I'm afraid it's just going to come back especially since it sounds like there is a revised part that fixes the root issue. I'm not thrilled with the dealer taking the seat out and potentially scratching the paint as one JL owner mentioned in this thread.
