There goes that windshield. That's how mine started. Had it 7 days and a rock flew up on the hwy, not tailing someone. Good luck with your replacement. This glass SUCKS!

Bought a truck up in norcal in 08. Drove it about 7 miles on a 2 lane. Car passed going the opposite way and smack. Dead windshield.

So I picked up my rubicon today from the dealership. Its about a 5 hour drive from my house. 2 hours into my drive home, with no cars ahead of me all of a sudden a crack about 8 inches long appears running from the upper left corner of the windshield down in my field of view. There were no cars around, no rocks hit the windshield, or anything else. The windshield just cracked.

Crack has now expanded to about 12 inches now. I had 211 miles on it when it happened driving in the middle of the open road with nobody in front of me at all. Very disappointing. You'd think with this many problems with their glass that Jeep would do something about it.

Less than 3000 miles... walked out this morning and saw a large crack on passenger side. Seems like it just came from no where... no rock strike, no chips and wasn’t defrosting as others have had happen. Just seemed to have cracked overnight spontaneously. Awaiting a response from @JeepCares now. I hope Jeep finds the cause for this (defective glass, improper installation, or possibly poor design). I don’t mind filling rock chips, as they are expected in Colorado, but spontaneous cracks are unacceptable.

Well, after about 12k miles and 14 months if ownership I've joined the club. On the plus side, I had just reduced my glass deductible to $0 about a month ago.

Unfortunately joined the club today. And today was the first day I used my dash cam which caught the bang and my reaction. Definitely a thrown rock from the cars tire in front of me and I always drive a good distance away to avoid this. Apparently 15 car lengths still isn’t far enough away.

Add me to the club. Noticed a 10" or so crack this morning when pulling out of the garage, completly unprovoked. Seems to have cracked sometime overnight while just sitting in the garage...

Safelite just came out and replaced mine they did a good job

Try the RainX windshield repair kit! It fixed my rock chip and crack to where it's almost non existent. $10 it's worth a try.
