IF you would... please post the service order / bill from Safelite. (Blacken out your name and specific work order / order#)

I and others and you in the future, can use the Safelite numbers listed on it when we go to arrange a Windshield replacement with Safelite.

This way we can call Safelite and say I need this particular Windshield or possibly spew, the Safelite inventory #, ect. also.

When you call Safelite being armed with such info can save a lot of headaches for them and the person calling them.


p.s. Window slightly open for 24 hrs after install of a Windshield on any Wrangler JL or JK, install is prudent. I neglected to mention this in my earlier post.

See below. This is the only part of the receipt that doesn't have personal info on it. The main thing is to provide your VIN when they call. That *should* eliminate getting the wrong windshield. Also, I have a JLUR, so I'm not 100% sure that Sports and Sarahas have the same windshield. I think they do, but I don't know for sure. Again the VIN will make sure.

I suggest others to include yourself save a copy of this for future reference like I have. It will come in handy someday, I promise........

My copy will be available on Microsoft One Drive so even when I am traveling state to sate with my JL, I will have Safelite part number, etc. in case I need a Windshield replacement.

That sucks. Hopefully the gorilla glass makes a big difference when available because these windshields kinda suck. Before the enormous star I got from a rock yesterday, my windshield had about a dozen small chips.

Has anyone tried or researched clear windshield protective film like ExoShield? I realize a $0 or $25 deductible is cheaper than the cost of protective film, but I also found out that if you claim more than a certain amount per year in windshield replacement or chip repair ($500 in my case), then the insurance rates go up when your premium is due next. Plus, it is supposed to also block a lot of the UV rays to protect the dash, etc.

I parked my JK in the garage, got up the next morning and found a crack running all the way from the passengers side almost a third of the way across the whole windshield. Cold/hot transition? There was not even a divot as far as I know? Strangest thing, I've never seen this happen before! (Is this a Jeep thing?)

Here’s my replacement receipt for my Rubi with acoustic glass. The part number on the invoice matches jeremyjeep’s and the number on the windshield ends in AB. Safelite did a great job and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Just had a rock destroy my second windshield in 3200 miles. I'm going to need to change windshields more often than the oil.

I've had several wranglers before and none were as bad as this. Bad luck? There are already 12 pages of comments on a car that you essentially couldn't get until 6 months ago.
