Hey guys,
Just wanted to come on here and speak on my continued experience with the coolant issues on the 21 wrangler and ask a question. I do have the 2.0 in a Willys.

Essentially, when I would accelerate the coolant would spike and I would have a loss of power. I got a pretty good idea reading many posts on here trying to figure it out myself but had it fixed under warranty while I still had it.

After my Jeep dumped coolant last March (2023) because of the clip (that was warrantied) a head gasket was blown but everything was replaced and it drove fine afterwards.

Fast forward today,
They had to replace my head gasket again because it was blown and my radiator was leaking where the “tank meets the core.” My evaporator coil was also leaking and was replaced.

What I wanted to ask was is there a way to prevent this from happening again? I don’t want to have to replace a head gasket every year and worry about coolant leaks and I love my Jeep so if there are any preventive measures besides checking monthly you guys would recommend I’d appreciate it.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this continuing problem. Unfortunately in several past experiences Ive had with other vehicles, once a head gasket has been replaced it seems like repeat failures are likely. Not sure why, but I have experienced this several times in the past. If it were mine I would be tempted to cut my loses and move on…just one opinion however.
