But yes, dark beer better. Imperial stouts are my favorites.

I too enjoy those dark beers, but while I can enjoy an imperial stout from time to time, I prefer porters. I like the malty flavor.

I like a good porter, but it's rare that the craft beer scene doesn't fuck it up with wild flavors that're overdone.

It's actually all alcohol. The liver basically switches modes to process the alcohol leaving any food you ate to not have its fat processed appropriately. So, whatever you drink, you're building body fat instead of having your liver burn it off. Enjoy a beer and a whiskey.
