Let me see if I get this straight. You subscribe to Consumer reports even though you don't believe what they say because you form your own conclusions and opinions on a product. Is that about right?

I enjoy reading CR. I don't always agree with them, or like what they say. But I try to be an informed consumer, and when looking at non-automotive related purchasing, they've done the comparison research for me. It is part of the decision process sometimes.

And I learn stuff sometimes about stuff I never really thought of.

Brother, if you think I was talking about your specific mom, then I'm not sure what to say. The "op's mom" joke has been used hundreds of times around here. "op's mom" is not an actual person -- it's just a joke. I'm sure your actual mom is a lovely human and congrats to her for living so long.

I tend to think if you're over about 11 years old, the "your mom" jokes should become past-tense.

Good on the OP for wanting to be informed, even if he doesn't agree with CR's assessment. When printed mags were more common, it was worth paging through for the reasons mentioned. For better or worse, they've had it out for the Wrangler for a long time.
