Got a 22 JLURD. Thinking about an extended warranty. Any good tricks to getting a discount on one?

I plan on driving the Jeep into the ground. It's probably worth getting.

Recommendations on companies? Get from dealer or somebody else?

Thanks!

Hi do a quick search there are a few thread with this topic, I went with Tom Winkels
Hayes Jeep
3718 Stadium Drive
Kalamazoo, Mi 49008
DIRECT-269-385-1116

There are other sites and option listed on the forum thread where you can shop for quotes and decide, hope this helps, best option would be the 8 years and either 100 or the 125 K miles depending on what best fits how much you drive.

You can try this site to get a quick quote

FYI extended warranties are insurance policies. So they have to follow all insurance laws in your state. Read the contract very carefully. Some are great, some not so bueno. Just be an aware consumer. You don’t have to buy from dealer either nor at purchase time. They basically start insuring you when factory warranty expires. Just do your research. Probably better deal not from dealer. Ymmv.

Any thoughts on the Fidelity warranty?

Talking to the dealership, they say that the Mopar warranties can be difficult to deal with - they try everything they can to get out of warranty claims if you have any mods to the Jeep.

I already have 37s on it and a lift is probably not too far away.

Apparently Fidelity doesn't care about the lift kit, big tires, etc. Dealer told me that Mopar will try to get out of drive train claims if you have bigger tires due to extra stress on the engine, etc.

However, my golden rule is to never trust somebody who is trying to sell you something!

Have you actually read the Fidelity warranty, especially the Fine Print ? Beware of Exclusions, Disclaimers, etc on any warranty. Taking the effort to read and understand warranties will save $ and aggravation later.

CarShield, yep CarShield is the sensible choice.

I laugh every time I see the commercials "Covers things like your flywheel, intake manifold and so much more". I mean how often do flywheels go bad? Really, and very few vehicles have a flywheel anymore as automatics use a drive plate. Ugh, "This is it, your worst nightmare.... Your check engine light is on." <sigh>

The "CarShield" thing is sarcastic, if you're into extended warranties, I'd get the best deal you can on a mopar warranty. Everything else is either a scam or borders on scamhood.

I recommend, that you go with a MOPAR extended warranty policy. Most third party warranties, aren't worth the paper that they are written on.
