Hello! I know there are a bunch of posts about preparing for cold weather, but it's been mind number sifting through them. I am new to Jeep Wrangler ownership (Bought a beautiful black 2022 Sahara); I have driven the same Prius since 2001, 24 years. I am in LOVE with my Jeep. I will never go back.

I bought it because I moved to Central Montana and need it to access my family's mountain property and Prius in Montana winter would well not be wise. :)

Anyway, because it's my first jeep and because it gets EXTREMELY cold, I am curious what I need to do to prepare for cold weather. I have a garage, but it's not super insulated. Do I need to get an engine/battery warmer for the cold nights? If so, what is recommended?

Thanks all!

Mine is fine at -26c.

I've never "cold-prep'd" any car, ever. Bought winter tires once. Used them two or three winters. That's about it.
Ok! This is great to know!

Same here, should be fine as it is. If after your first winter you think you need more get a block heater.
I would recommend proper winter tire and all the equipment related to winter operation of any vehicle, AKA blanked, candle, match extra cloths and so on.

Some of them come from the factory with a "warming" feature.

All kidding aside, keep the vehicle fluids in check, and if it is going to be cold for a number of days in a row, drive it to keep the battery from draining.

We've never had an issue with the Willys but my wife's Cherokee needed a jump on a very cold morning after not being driven for a while.

Ah. A subject firmly in my wheelhouse. :)

This is what I do, and/or use, in no particular order:

-Install full set of studded 3PMSF tires
-Stow winter prep tool bag behind driver's seat*
-Stow snow brush under rear passenger seat
-Pivot from Bug Remover to De-Icer windshield wash fluid (I do fully drain and refill the reservoir tank when changing fluid formulations)
-Replace windshield wipers, if due soon
-Hang winter jacket, w/gloves and knit cap stuffed inside, in rear seat
-Install d-ring shackle in receiver hitch

That's the lion's share of my seasonal shift. My JLU does have the OEM block heater, but as it lives in an insulated garage at night, I've not had cause to use it. Were it parked outside, I'd definitely use the heater. If I didn't have that feature, a sump heater (example) would probably be used.

*Folded fleece blanket, jumper cables (redundancy for lithium jump pack), two walkie talkies w/2 sets of lithium AAs, sealed bottle of electrolyte solution, 3.6K calorie ration bars, tow strap, HotHands hand and toe warmer packs, hygiene bag (toilet paper, wet wipes, hand sanitizer), collapsible entrenching tool, and probably a few other bits and pieces.

I have lived in Montana since 1959 and while I have always had a garage I worked 12 hours shifts parked outside and never had an issue with any vehicle and never have had studded tires..make sure your battery is good and coolant is up to snuff and get windshield rated for -32 or the lowest you can get...cars today do so much better than the old carb days....the one thing I stress in the winter is to keep your fuel tank full and buy from quality stations and in Montana Cenex is your highest quality fuel..Farmers and Ranchers demand quality from their fuel supplier..

On topic here but cold weather prep yourself. I think people underestimate how much moving air reduces temps. Outside of the dead of summer we take hoodies coats blankets things like that in case we end up being out later. Once the sun goes down driving with the top and doors off can be quite chilly even if it's nice out just standing around.

Sahara tires are not that great in the snow.

Get some good tires for snow, and let the fun begins.
