Today while wheeling in the local ORV park(Tahuya, Wa.) I wasn’t even 3 minutes into the trail when I got a “Clutch HOT” warning. I was in 4Hi 1st gear going up a very mellow climb foot off the clutch maybe 7mph. Then someone got stuck so I parked it level and let cool while they got unstuck. Then drove about 6hrs of trail and nothing. Then found some mud and did donuts in 2wd with one of the guys in his Jimny and same thing. “Clutch HOT” so I parked at the gate keeper waiting for everyone else to catch up and it cooled down and warning went away. Why would I get a clutch hot warning in 4Hi and 2wd not even using the clutch? At the gate keeper I did smell something but it didn’t smell like clutch. Guy parked next to me didn’t even notice the smell.
