I've posted before on front end noises but I'm experiencing something new. Based on a previous clunking noise the dealer was able to find that the left front shock bolt was about 3/4 turns loose, once tightened that went away. I was able to recreate (but never for the dealer) a double click/click when the front end was compressed while going over very high speed bumps. That noise has since gone away after I put a 2.5" RC budget lift on it.

Now I hear clicks. I know some of the clicks are normal, as in when I back out of my driveway and then go forward I hear the brake pads shifting and making a clicking sound. OK, that's normal. What isn't normal is when I make a turn down the street at about 5 to 15 miles an hour and I here a click coming from the driver's front corner. Or when I hear random clicking like turning into a parking space especially noticeable when the doors are off because I have nothing obstructing my hearing.
I've also heard a click coming from the rear that occurs randomly as I slow down for a light and then the light turns green and I get back on the gas (as an example). That one I found interesting because I was actually able to do a burn out with the traction control off and I wondered if that jacked up something in the rear because I heard the noise two days later. Again randomly, haven't heard it for a day.
Anyway... what's considered normal for a Jeep? To me, other than the brakes clicking, none of this is normal but unfortunately these noises never replicate when taken to the dealer. You have to drive it on a regular basis to hear them.

I think lots here are experiencing the same issue and I am one of them, it was at the dealer all day and never addressed, seems if you give these guys more than one thing to work on it takes several days :jk:

Wow... that thread rocked, it's exactly what's going on with me. I posted on there just now. I also need to find out the proper torque of the ball joint nut.
The proper final torque for those bolts is 33ft/lbs. My Jeep makes the same noises, so I'll be hitting those this weekend. Just don't forget to remove the pins first!

Thanks for the torque setting! Wow, I thought it would be higher. The shock bolts are something like 50ft/lbs. Half way through my lift I stopped torquing the bolts. After 30 years I kind of felt my way through tightening them. May not be the best mentality but so far so good. Going over everything tomorrow.

I have the same 2.5 RC lift. The only time I hear a click is when I make a hard turn. It almost sounds like the block under the front springs is not fully seated and has a slight rocking sound. I also hear it occasionally when im off roading and the suspension is maxed out. I have tightened everything and rechecked all torques. Everything is fine. It may just be what I described. But It happens to rarely Im not concerned. And since the RC lift doesnt preload springs like the MOPAR kit. Im not touching it.

Just lifted my jeep with Mopar’s 2 inch lift kit with my brother-in-law. After a few days I would hear a click / tick sound in the front right hand side. Any idea what causes this?

Check your ball joints on both sides especially the lower castle nuts. Mine were almost only hand tight when I checked them. Pull the cotter pin out and tighten them up, if they are the culprit they will turn easy and most likely click as you are tightening them.
