Thats just crazy, mine is still sputtering with loss of power while it is sputtering on 91 octane fuel. I think I'm going to take it to the dealer i bought it from. Pretty sure its a misfire, not just fuel related.Update:
My Jeep still not fixed.
The new valve cover and O2 sensor didn’t work.
says Jeep Cares based on their conversations with the dealer.
Doesn’t look like I will have it back this month.
Yeah. Pretty pissed at this ownership experience thus far. We might have gotten a bad batch of engines to have problems this early. I will keep you posted. I am supposed to hear back on what the hell is going on with my Jeep today.Thats just crazy, mine is still sputtering with loss of power while it is sputtering on 91 octane fuel. Lights don’t just come on. Is it still misfiring? What evidence do they have to believe it’s a PCM problem? Have they done a compression test?Dealer finally called to let me know what the issue is. The new valve cover stopped the oil leak but the CEL still keeps coming back on.
Now they think it’s a computer issue and they opened up a STAR case number with FCA.
no clue. service guy is a middle man so he has no info. I told them to call me when it’s fixed.Lights don’t just come on. Is it still misfiring? What evidence do they have to believe it’s a PCM problem? Have they done a compression test?
They're either guessing or on vacation. Sucks man.no clue. service guy is a middle man so he has no info. I told them to call me when it’s fixed.
Obvious misfire, the question is why?Thats just crazy, mine is still sputtering with loss of power while it is sputtering on 91 octane fuel. I think I'm going to take it to the dealer i bought it from. Pretty sure its a misfire, not just fuel related.
I am giving both the dealer and Jeep one more chance to make it right. If they still can’t fix it after this long, I am going to ask for a buyback and order a new one. I think I have been more than accommodated and waited patiently from 10/20 to who knows when. They're either guessing or on vacation. Sucks man.
Any news on your Jeep?Thats just crazy, mine is still sputtering with loss of power while it is sputtering on 91 octane fuel. I think I'm going to take it to the dealer i bought it from. Pretty sure its a misfire, not just fuel related.
Sounds like they need to fire the service manager. They clearly aren’t doing their job.Any news on your Jeep?
I am now dealing with the FCA customer retention specialist as my dealer and Jeep engineer both can't seem to fix the problem.
Bad luck maybe but no doubt this has been a letdown. I’ve been reading on JL forum that newer Gladiators with the same Pentastar 3.6 engines w/o etorque are also having some teething issues.Sounds like they need to fire the service manager. They clearly aren’t doing their job.
It's still having that issue on all grades of gas being used, so I can confirm that it is most likely not a fuel issue. It did it pretty bad yesterday when my friend, who used to be a technician, was riding with me and he noticed it and said its a definite misfire. I'm thing it back to the dealership I bought it from tomorrow to have them look at it.Any news on your Jeep?

Ask the dealer to check the spark plugs. There is a TSB for it. Mine is acting normally after they replaced all the spark plugs. It's still having that issue on all grades of gas being used, so I can confirm that it is most likely not a fuel issue.
