I was just going to ask if you had gotten yours back yet. Which part are you still waiting on?
They have the oxygen sensor but they are still missing the valve cover. They said it’s newly designed whatever it means.

That stinks. You would think @JeepCares would be of more assistance!!
Yeah.
Mentally I am starting to think I don’t own Jeep now.
I think Jeep Cares are just there to make us think they care like Jeep Wave program and Ecodiesel engine. Marketing gimmick...

Hang in there, you'll get it back. Just keep in mind that backordered parts aren't the dealership's fault. Hopefully it won't be much longer and that will be the only issues we have.

Another update if anyone is still interested.
My Jeep is still at the dealer collecting dust as it waits for the parts.
Jeep Care hasn’t been much help as they haven’t really stepped up to expedite the delivery of parts either.
Any advice?

Appears resolved. Here’s the service ticket. I think the plenum thing was an incorrect diagnosis and likely didn’t need replacement.

I'd just like to point out the intake manifold has to be removed to access the oil cooler, which is a very common source of oil leaks on the 3.6. They didn't get anything wrong.

Do you know if the oil cooler issue is common all 3.6? I am asking because some of us with 2021 models have issues with oxygen sensor getting fouled with oil leaking from valve cover.

Different issue, but yes the oil cooler is the same design on all of the 3.6's. If it isn't the cooler gasket itself that starts leaking, it will be the oil pressure switch on the back side of it.

The problem with the leaking valve covers is a different problem, for some reason they like to leak directly onto one of the oxygen sensors, which then kill the sensor. Shouldn't cause a running problem though.

Thanks man.
Here is the work order for my Jeep at the dealership.

On a related note, my Jeep is at the dealer for almost a month now as the new valve cover (part number 4893800AI) was put on backordered through the supplier.

This is unlikely to fix the running rough issue, but it may.

Why wouldn’t it run rough if the oxygen sensor fail and throw a code?
Oxygen sensors, especially the downstream sensor, monitor cat converter efficiency. Of course it’s possible that for emissions regulations purposes, the new engine is programmed to read them and adjust fuel input. Do you know which specific codes you had when you went in?

P219B was the code when it went in. Oxygen sensor bank 2 fail.

that would be a bank 2 air fuel ratio code, further diagnosis needed to confirm the failure being the sensor.

the more obvious “sensor failure” codes are circuit related, open or short circuits bring readings outside of normal bands and it sets codes.

Thanks. Are you a tech?
