Maybe since it is soooo deep in addition to what you have shown, which looks great so far by the way, you could add about a 1/2 width size tray on top that would run front to back and slide left to right making it 2 level/3 compartments.

From past experience everyone has different needs. We are trying to come up with products that meet as many needs as possible without limiting usage of the console. It wasn't directed at any of the comments. The more feedback we get the better the product will be.
Here's a useful one I think/hope.

The area under the backseats of a four door is one that coincidentally this company makes bags that fit perfectly under:

(The idea originated in the (JK) Wrangler Forum.)

I'll bet not everybody needs the portability of the bags, and that you could create plastic product to go here that undercuts the bag's price.

Just a thought.

There are a couple updates to the tray. Changes account for USB cables and the LED in the back of the Rubicon center console. I will get some new pictures up next week. Taking some time off this week. Availability still looks good for February.

Happy holidays!
Is there a way to offer 2 options: one with 2 larger compartments, another with 4 smaller ones? I’m definitely interested.

I got one of those last week., I was able to fit all of my recovery gear in there.

I like the idea of the lower organizer. Not something I would have really thought to do or add, but now that I've seen the prototypes I'm looking forward to them.
On a side note, the light isn't just in the Rubicon console. I've got it in my Sahara too. It may also be available on the Sport or Sport S, depending on what option package it's included with. Not that it's a big deal on what trims the console light was available with, but it may make a difference with marketing and advertised fitment.

I am definitely in for a center console tray. It will help with not having to dig through the existing space and keep everything a bit more organized.

Happy New Year! Back to work after a nice little break.

Here are pictures of the 3D printed prototypes of the center console divider and tray. These are representations of the design in production. Ignore the part quality. See the original post for examples of the quality of our finished parts as well as the rubber liners that will go in the tray. The tray will be released first followed by the divider. Planning on February based on current schedule.

dang it! shut up & take my money now - This would be the 7th of your products I've owned. 3 for my 4runners, 2 for my outback, and 1 for an old tacoma I had.

I love this a lot. it's simple; relatively cheap & solves a lot of problems with organizing stuff.

Let me know when you start taking orders for the JL and I'll be the 1st to order one =)

I like the idea but don’t think that first one will sell well. Compartments are too small, too many.

You can configure some by not using all the short pieces. This would create larger compartments.

How deep is that tray? Looks like a great option.
The tray is 3" deep. Keep in mind that it shares space with the shallow secondary console under the armrest. So usable depth is about 2.5". That somewhat useless secondary console made this tray design a little challenging but persistence paid off.

When will this be available?
The tray will be first followed by the dividers. If things go as scheduled the tray should be available on Amazon in February. Dividers are late February or early March. All these parts are injection molded plastic which is a complex process. So dates are tentative based on how things look in January when we sample for the first time. Stay tuned!
