Hey everyone. Drove the jeep today and after a bit I noticed that my check engine light was on. After I got home I connected my OBD reader and the code that came back is P052F.

I can’t seem to find anything that explains what that code is for us. Anyone have an idea?

when I restarted the Jeep I noticed the glow plug light blinked for a little bit then stopped.

I’d be giving the batteries a look if they aren’t relatively new. Those are known to cause all sorts of weird issues as the start to fail.

Yep. If the trickle charger doesn’t solve the voltage problem, I’ll check the batteries themselves. If they still look good I’ll have my mechanic take a look. (This assumes the code comes back after a charge and then code clear)

In case this happens to anyone else, here is the resolution in my case:

As I was still under warranty I took it to the dealer. From their write up it seems like they check the battery health, determined it was fine. Checked the voltage into the glow plug control module and it was fine but the voltage out of the module was not. Not sure how that’s checked but I digress. They ordered a new module and installed it and all apparent problems have ceased.

the CEL could come back but I can definitively say I do not have the flashing glow plug light anymore.

Do you still have your aux battery hooked up? That can cause all manner of mischief. If you do, ditch it. It's as useful as an appendix is to the human body.

I do. But as I stated the dealers write up stated they checked the health of the batteries in addition to their charge and everything came back fine.

not saying it can’t cause this, I was just documenting the resolution in my specific case in case someone has this problem in the future and they search the forum.
