oh yea! I know I put wood under the tires and did it!
but was it 100% level? if the surface was sloped the wood would be sloped equally unless you used different wood thickness to make up for the slope of the surface. Some places will do an alignment check for free. my local les schwab used to do that.

Make sure you’re sitting level as mentioned, put angle finder on the flats of the diff….

90 degrees or 0 degrees equals 6 degrees caster….if the needle is behind the 90 or 0 then you have less than 6 degrees if the needle is ahead of the 90 or 0 then you have more than 6 degrees…….here’s mine, I’m running about 5.9 ish…..

Don’t over think it, the number isn’t as important as the way it handles…. Best thing to do is check it see where it’s at, drive it, if it wanders then increase it, if it drives good leave it…..This has the biggest impact on wandering, the dead spot in steering wheel is likely in your steering box….dead spot and wandering are two different things caused by two different factors…..

yes! I placed it on both them holes on each side and underneath the both knuckles.

I’ve done all my suspension and this a bit of a learning curve lol. Any advice will be helpful! Also read to undo all the bolts and not to take anything off and always do one at at time.

ONE AT A TIME on the swap!!! Do it on the ground. Chock the tires and roll it to get the bolts to line up.
Any reason to loosen the LCA bolts? I am wondering if I just pivot the axel back to adjust caster via the UCA's and LCA's are still torqued to their specs, the bushings would bind?

Of course I am naturally overthinking this, most likely

You are running aftermarket front driveshaft?

I don't know that'd Id worry about such a small bushing rotation, but you certainly could if you are running stock style bound/adhered bushings.

It won't matter with an unadhered aftermarket joint anyways. The MC Duroflex I assume the OP is using rotate freely.

I was able to install the control arms but when I was under it I noticed my ball joint. Could this be a lead to my problems

Trying to pin point this dead spot. Outside the dead spot the steering is extremely tight.

This is what it measured out to be. I did at the diff where the two holes are at and under the steering knuckles. I have an extremely bad shimmy over bumps on the highway.. if I try to correct it, it gets worse and feels like I will flip the Jeep unless I correct slowly. No death wobble at all or vibration.

Talking about the sleeve/spacer? There is supposed to be a gap there.
