No, not really buyer's remorse. For me, I was at the 5 year mark on my 2014 JK Sport S. It was either sell it this year and get a good chunk of change back, or drive it until the wheels come off. I opted for the former.

I probably should have just got the 2019 4 Door Sport S....but eff it. Got the Rubicon. I don't really regret it...its bad ass. The Sport S is good too though and would have saved about 7,000 dollars. But, meh.

I carried my 2004 tj in for the cel on because of an evap problem I had been chasing. I just had to go look under the hood of a jl. Next thing I know I am test driving it and signing papers on a JLU Sport S. I had not done any research on JL jeeps. It drove and rode great.
I have not had the frame weld issue or some of the other steering issues but they did have to replace the drag links due to it being "worn out" at less than 1000 miles. They also have an open case about engine knocking. They have have it about a month since I purchased it Oct 25th. Just today I find out the passenger rear brake is scrubbing and the hub was over 600 degrees. I wish I had not put the Mopar 2" lift on it. I wish maybe I had of just bit the bullet and bought a rubicon, but they did not have one on the lot. I don't have deep enough pockets to build the sport up the way I want to. My suggestion, is buy the rubicon if you think you want to put bigger tires, lockers, and the other stuff the rubicon already has on it and can afford it. I still love the Jeep though.

I have over 14200 miles and so far the only issue I have is the uconnect radio/climate controls acting up every now and then :fingerscrossed:
Just got mine reflashed at the dealer for this and it’s fixed. There is a service bulletin on the issue.

My man. Flying Colors is great! Mike Portnoy is there now too (one of my favorite drummers) so I can't not love them :rock:
The guitarist in my last band was friends with John Petrucci’s guitar engineer. When John got rid of things, my buddy had first dabs. My buddy had an amazing sounding set up.

No problem brother I figured I’d mention it! I have the service bulletin number in the Jeep if you need it let me know. I printed it and highlighted the issues I was having and took it in and it took them 2 and a half hours to DL the dang thing! But it’s fixed!!

After reading all the post about problems people are having with their JL, do you regret buying it?
I traded a 16 JK 2 door for a 18 JL 4 door. I like the looks of my new one better, it rides much better and I love the new auto transmission. I don’t like the auto start/stop , that’s really the only thing I don’t like about it. Some of the frame and steering issues people are having is kinda scary..
I had zero issues out of my JK.
What say you !!
Tazer JL makes a programmer that will disable the auto/stop. I have it installed and works great.

I had a Honda Civic si years ago and it was a lemon. As I was going through the lemon law. I kept hearing how reliable Honda’s are. And how they are the best. I told the rep. Well I seemed to have the one that wasn’t and it’s a machine crap happens. I am less concerned about it breaking as I am about if they Stand behind their product if it does. Enjoy your Jeep.

Only regret ... should have got sahara w a few more options vs sport.
THIS.

Every time I see a JLUS, it's like a thumb in the eye. Should've acted on my first instinct.

I’ve got two... one with 11k and the other with 3k. Zero issues and I’ve been to Moab, Big Bear, Death Valley (which I was on a trail and told to turn back by a group of JK’s, lol), and mammoth.

Love my Jeep hate the price. But coming from a Ram I guess it was a bargain

I have had 4 Wranglers in my life and the JL had the most problems. I traded in my 2015 JKU, made the deal in January, picked it up in March. On the drive home I had buyers remorse because I could barley keep it in the lane. I had a very loose steering issue that many have reported along with a metal on metal creaking nose. I took it back to the dealer the next day and they couldn't duplicate the steering (not sure how) and greased the sway bar(or something like that). The noise went away, the steering issue persisted.

So I learned to live with it while hoping a fix would come along, it didn't. The Satellite radio would cut out all of the time. In September I started having another steering issue, on cold mornings the steering wheel would lock at highway speeds. Once the Jeep warmed up that steering issue would go away, but then during the hotter part of the day I would have 3 lights come on ABS, Traction Control, and Service 4WD (disabling 4wd).

I scheduled a service with the local dealer and 1 month later they got me in. They fixed the steering locking, and got the Radio to cut out about 50% less. However on the drive home, all of the lights came on again. I scheduled another appointment 1 month out. Took it in, they reset the codes and blamed it on a 2 inch lift and oversize tires (not that oversize 255/75r17). The lights came on again the way home. Sad Trombone. I called the dealer back again got bounced around, and left a few messages, never heard back.

I had more problems with this Wrangler than all others I have owned combined. I traded it in last week for a 2018 Chevy Truck, took a pretty big hit. I probably wont buy another Wrangler for a few years and then probably only buy a JK.

I am glad to hear a majority of owners on this thread are happy and have pretty solid JL's.

So, today I had a really awesome chorizo burrito for breakfast and went out to lunch with some co-workers and had some chicken tortilla soup. Man it was good. The place also gives you this awesome cookie as part of your meal, it's oatmeal with chocolate chips and a hint of coconut. That cookie alone is enough to make me go back. They don't sell the cookies separately so there was this one time I wanted some cookies from them and ordered a salad and asked them to sub the salad for a handful of cookies instead. That was a wholesome lunch. For dinner, I just got some really good pizza at this local place and it really hit the spot. I also created a new playlist on Spotify and to answer your question no I don't have any regrets.

Yes, but were the cookies fresh? lol
