Curious what others on the forum would do in my situation. I've owned my 2019 JL Rubicon 2.0T for about two months. It has spent about half of that time in the shop for a throttle body, a sensor, an intake manifold, software fixes, and most recently a loose vacuum hose. Love the car but this has been a tremendous headache, and Jeep has agreed to buy back the vehicle. I don't know how the process works exactly, but I'm evaluating my potential options: I could take a refund and buy something altogether different (non-Jeep or at least non-Wrangler). Or swap to a 3.6 version and hope the problems relate to the new engine. Or I could roll the dice and get an identical replacement hoping I just had a lemon. Or I could buy one of the remaining 2018 JK Rubicons and save some money but miss out on all the improvements. What do you think...?

There a many people that have the 2.0 and no problems with it so for your situation I voted for what you already have. Personally, I would get the 3.6 because I do not want to pay out the extra 70 cents a gallon for premium fuel. That was my only reason for getting mine with the 3.6.

I personally am not a fan of the 2.0, but I think you just have a lemon on your hands. The 2.0 doesn't really seem to have any general issues. If you liked the engine, go for it again. While I too still love JKs, I think if you bought a leftover 18 you would regret it sooner rather then later. Buy or build a 2019 and enjoy the benefits of the JL over JK, and 2019 model year improvements over 2018. Sorry to hear your experience wasn't good with the 2019.

Thanks for the tip. How do I track down my regional customer service manager? So far I've only spoken with people from FCA and my local dealer.

Don't take the first offer on a buy back! I had that opportunity on a Grand Cherokee a few years back. Had 25k on it and the first offer I received I could have gotten a better deal trading it!!! Finally for 2k I got a year updated GC 0 mile new Jeep. Have you sales person fight for you, not FCA! Threaten with Lemon Law if you have that in your state, they fear Lemon Law cuz they can't sell it, if they buy it back they can fix(??) and sell!

Don't go backwards for a JK, nice, but keep updated and go for a JL w/3.6!!

Go Jeep!!!

Talk to your gm or sales manager if they wont get you to rcsm call the next closest competing dealer and toss the original under the bus. Eventually someone should put u in touch with them.....then things will run smoothly and likely in your favor.
