Hey
Thanks for the reply
The last two radio would turn on, off, blue screen, no backup camera, freeze on at 3/4 volume, no controls would work, come back on, on its own after vehicle turned off and open door, because of this it killed the battery because no way to turn the radio off.
Everything seems to start with the WiFi saying incorrect password, I’m on my third radio.

Thoughts?
We have the Alpine radio and it has not worked since the first week of ownership. It cuts in and out . FCA does not have a fix yet. Replacing the radio is not a solution. I am ordering a 2020 JLU tomorrow for myself . I expect the Alpine system will work in this one. I also expect FCA to come up with a TSB related to the original radio. At this point my wife is more frustrated than I. It is mind blowing that this problem has been ongoing since Oct 2018.

I'm no help there. I guess if your dealer is willing to help you, keep at it. It just sounds like there is a gremlin lose in there:like: I'd seriously just keep working with your dealer. You could always push for the buyback, but again, I'd work with your dealer to get this accomplished. I wouldn't be to hateful, but I'd be stern with what you expect. Good luck:like:
You think he should bring them some doughnuts ? ;)

This Panasonic sourced Uconnect radio is not the best, and it is having a lot of problems connecting to the AT&T network. I've heard of people getting vehicles bought back for less.

It's problems like this that I hear about that want me want to do the Dave Ramsey thing and payoff my house instead of treating myself to a JLUR.

My gf had a Camry buy back because of a bad radio. They tried to fix it several times. Finally bought it back. That was before us so don't know details. We are in NJ. It was not too long ago. XM worked ok but she couldn't get radio stations.
EDIT... It was a Nissan Altima. Three times in , documented, for same problem . Money refunded. She bought a Honda with it.

............I'm just amazed you spent $100K on your build..... Solid gold interior??? I guess it could get up that high, just amazed.
EXACTLY!
For $100,000 I'm gonna have Dana 60's, a new trans to go behind 700hp, 40" tires, full roll cage, harnesses, winch front and rear, a full custom belly pan and even more.
How did you spend $100,000?

I was thinking the same thing. I ordered every option on my Rubicon other than the block heater and sky touch (but I did get the dual top group with everything painted to match) and I came out to $62k and change. Either got ripped off more than anyone I've ever seen, or had the dealership do a lot of upgrades. (And still got ripped off on those.) Absolutely no way could you get a Wrangler (even with dealer added options) to $100k.

Maybe read a book instead of streaming Netflix when camping to save on data useage?

Very beautiful. So he's got a $60k Jeep with $40k in aftermarket parts and is thinking about pushing for "buy back" because of a radio issue? I get that its a complete pain in the ass (I've had the blue screen and cutting out radio a couple of times), but surely it would be easier to work with Jeep on truly solving it instead of stripping all those mods off to apply to another Jeep. Unless, Jeep won't keep working on it because of some of the mods. In which case, I don't see them doing a buy back either.

In my state they get four chances to fix it in a year before you can lemon something for a problem. I also don’t think you are going to force a company the size of FCA to do anything. I’m guessing attacking this problem with that mindset isn’t going to help you much.

Hey

My JLUR is highly upgraded, I paid $57,900 out the door and the rest are in aftermarket upgrades
