That's from 2,5 years ago. Especially like the part where they knew there's a problem but tell the techs don't you dare fix it unless the owner complained first.
Yea I noticed that as well, made me chuckle. Either way, thats the doc they're linking to when you download the most recent update.

Dealer has a new unit on order for mine(under warranty) that is suppose to be in June 12th. They have a "UConnect Case Manager" trying to expedite it.

Saturday mine prompted me to schedule an update, I've been skipping it every time I get in to drive. Luckily i'm still under warranty but, man I still dont want to deal with it if my radio gets bricked

Had to order a new radio, odd thing they could not do it until I called sirius xm and gave the dealer my Radio ID, said they needed it and could not pull it off the radio. If you're going in maybe have that handy as they may ask.

I had 2 replacement radios installed. First one was bad, second is good so far. Both took about a month to arrive at the dealership. Pack your patience.

Service writer told me he's seen three come in from this last update alone and that the radios are all pre-programed with the SiriusXM stuff so your 5 year travel link transfers trial.

My new unit was suppose to be in on the 12th, did not show. Dealer is waiting for the system to update with a new date.

Damn, doesn't look good for me either. Haven't heard anything yet and my warranty expired 2 days ago

MA recently renumbered most of the exits on 93, 95, 495 and a bunch of state highways so the exit number corresponds with the mileage marker number. Now all the GPS exits are off. I mostly use Google Maps via Android Auto so it is not a big issue however I would like the maps updated.

Right now there doesn't seem to be an update available. It will be interesting to see how long until one comes out.

No news for me either, still on order. Fingers crossed it shows up sooner rather than later.

UConnect software updates don't include maps beyond the first version for whatever vehicle/model generation they're made for. You'll have to pay for those. And, unfortunately, even if you were to grab them from a different FCA product, the company that provides them takes forever to make said changes.

I've got a 2018, my maps are even older than that, and according to their provider, there aren't any map updates.

As frustrating as it is, this about sums it up. If you’re concerned about up to date maps CarPlay, Android Auto, or a dedicated GPS device are you best bet.

The manual update I downloaded for my 06.2018 JL included a map update. Circa 05.2019

Same here. I've got a replacement radio manufactured for the 2020MY with map updates supposedly newer than my original 2018 radio, but changes to streets in my city that were done well over 5 years ago remain unchanged.
