I believe the rear pads were a little tighter to get into the caliper brackets. I chalked that up to Hawk's tighter manufacturing tolerances. I use Sil-Glyde on the bracket clips and the "ear" of the pads as it helps with installation and to keep the pads from binding in the brackets. They're not side specific.

If you're having a problem getting to seat into the caliper brackets and some disc brake lube isn't helping:
1) ensure the clips are fully seated
2) use sandpaper, file, etc. to knock off some of the coating on the ears of the pads. Maybe a little too much coating was applied and is keeping the pad from seating correctly. I would remove a little at a time and test fit. You don't want too loose of a fit.
I appreciate the input. Those are the same part numbers I'm using on my 2021 JLUR with the HD brakes. I used the grease that came with the Hawk pads and they went in but they were pretty tight. I checked for movement on the pads and they moved in and out without binding so I decided to run them. I didn't think they were side specific after comparing all four pads but that puts my mind at ease. Thanks again!

I bought mine from Tire Rack. Northridge 4x4 also carries them and I normally buy everything from them, but I wanted them NOW and I have a Tirerack warehouse 30 minutes away.

says out of stock and 30 day lead time. Is that right?
Our inventory is LIVE on our site, so that would be correct.

I'm checking ETA of our next order, should know by morning.

I have a '21 Sahara with the HD brakes - would these be the same pads as what Rubicons are using?
It appears Sahara's get the same HD brakes as a Rubicon from what I've read.

Just ask @cosine he knows!
What is the average mileage you are getting from your brake pads before having to replace them? Same questions about the rotors?
The OEM pads are low dust/low bite so they would be a high mileage pad. I would assume a 50k mile pad w/ avg use. This pad not being aggressive won't have much rotor wear either, so unless you're towing, doing a lot of excessive braking, prolonged braking (like going down mountain passes on a regular basis) I'd imagine 100k rotor life. That being said, I'd put shopping for aggressive brake pads on your shopping list if you have larger/heavier wheels/tires on your JL or planning to add them soon, or heavy overall brake use. I'd pretty much add them anyway just to get better overall braking performance, never a bad thing stopping these beasts a bit quicker :)
