After seeing it mentioned a few times, I picked up a bottle of the BH Toast on my way home last night (damn peer pressure). Looking forward to trying it tonight.
How is it? I use/like the normal BH but only in the sense that its like the Coors version of Bourbons... light and good for warm weather but that's about it. I will have to try it as an Old Fashioned mixer, that sounds good.

I installed my under shelf neons to enhance the mood! And keep adding to my stash.

For those in Kentucky:

I now find myself traveling there for work quarterly (for now). I fly into Nashville and drive up I-24 to work in Calvert City. I stay overnight in Paducah, turn around and head back. My question is, are there any retailers in that area or along the route worth stopping to pick up rare or allocated bottles? If you don’t want to share your special spots publicly in the thread PM me.

New to this thread so forgive me if you’ve seen this already. Unbelievably smooth. You won’t be sorry.

Wish I could help but I don't get down there much.

On a side note picked up another bottle of McKenna today from my guy. Finished off the last one and he didn't have anything other special in today. Different barrel than the other but I know I will not be able to taste the difference.

I am a fan of OF. My go-to would be 1910 (which I am out of) as the 1920 has a big too much of a Kentucky hug for my liking. Same reason I haven't opened the barrel proof at 135. I bought it at OF as it was a special allocation when we visited but it will probably stay sealed (not many of my bottles are that way)

Did some shopping today. Got to taste the Stellum and Doc Swinsins in the store - both really good. and I can’t wait to compare the two different ECBPs. Also picked up a baby Saz store pick

Wife and pluse friends went to KY mid January. Toured Buffalo Trace, Four Roses and Jim Beam. Spent one afternoon walking around Louisville checking out (didn’t tour) Evan Williams, Old Forrester, Angels Envy. Cut the trip short due to weather.

All in all, great trip. Will be heading back!

pic included is our take in KY plus the store we hit prior to leaving.
