I'm interested in your experience with holsters for CCW, whether IWB or OWB, from subcompact to full-size.

I have used the Urban Carry OWB Holster for my Taurus PT740 for a few years now. VERY HAPPY with it. It has a built in clipping system that holds the gun into the holster...but pulls out very easily when you need to unholster it.

I use a variety of holsters for a Kimber 1911 pro carry 2, one IWB and 2 different open carry holsters when I'm out on the trail. Just a cheap Alien Gear IWB that I've had for a few years. I have a Kimber OWB paddle holster for shorts, generic leather belt holster for jeans.

for my G43 I carry either in a front pocket or back pocket or iwb. when in the pocket use a uncle mikes sticky holster and an outbags when iwb. on my full size gats I just stick them in my waist band or carry on my belt with an uncle mikes holster. I can carry my G20 or G34 stuck in my waist band (no holster) undetected by most people. this is with a G20 no holster just in the waist band. I got a buddy who weighs about 145lbs and he carries a 1911 that way all the time. red shirt is G20 and black G34

I use CompTac kydex iwb for my carry guns, or I make them myself.

So, I ordered 2 holsters specifically for driving/jeeping with my P239 and P365.

The 239 is a slim single stack but a mid size frame in 40 S&W. I got this Craft Leather OWB crossdraw for comfort sitting the Jeep or other long trips. It rides high and should be comfortable and easy to draw seated. But frankly, I don't anticipate carrying the bigger heavier P239 unless there is some reason I can't carry the much smaller, lighter P365 9mm.

For jeeping/long drives with the P365, I ordered a Falcon OWB crossdraw that is cut for an optic, even though I may not go that route on this gun.

Of course I'm still looking into strong side IWB holsters for both the 239 and 365, which would be my EDC.

Who made the holster?

Retired from Corrections....I have stories.
I almost exclusively use this type of holster for conceal carry.

My Glock 20. I have carried with this kind of holster for about 15 or so years. I have hiked hundreds and hundreds of miles with this gun using this type holster.

The Glock 20 is a large pistol and it disappears with this holster. I typically just wear a t-shirt and shorts and it does not print.

The Glock is my Jeeping traveling gun for camping and Jeeping and hiking. I daily carry an Sig P365 with the same type of holster. The nice thing is you can slide the gun into a position along your hip/belt without pulling the gun out. I like to have my pistol on my belt where the pants/shorts pocket is for walking around or running. Then when I get into the car, I can easily slide the gun to the back of my hip for better comfort in the car/Jeep. The gun never prints and stays low inside the pants.

This type of holster is also convenient because it does not matter if you add optics or lights, it will still work. They also have a great price point usually around $20 and you can easily buy them off Amazon.

I've used the below clip that screws onto the back plate of Glocks (26 and 43) for years, to carry inside the pants or behind my belt at about 5 o'clock.
Since I carry a round chambered, I use the trigger block thing to ensure that I can't accidentally pull the trigger and shoot myself in the ass.
The clip draw thing serves double duty to secure the pistol inside a backpack/laptop bag as needed too.

I used to use that same set up with my G43 and G42 but ended up taking them off. now I can't recall why I stopped using them.

The clips are a little short to go over a real belt, maybe that was it?
I do find it's a bit of PITA to clip in back on, if I take it out for some reason.

@roaniecowpony I have a few, 2 are the Crossbreed Reconing holsters for the Xmacro and the Shield in 9MM. I carry at the 3:30 position. We are close so if you want to meet up for a beer and check them out, let me know. I also use the Nexbelt and some suspenders to hold it all up.

I used to have a P320XC I carried IWB in this werkz holster. The picatiny looking rail on the right side of it help it stay tucked in close to the body to help combat printing. I’ve since sold the P320 and now carry the S&W bodyguard snub nose 38 special+P. Planning to buy a 365XL or the hellcat. I like them both. I prefer SIG. the werkz hollsters are pretty nice though.

Not cheap (shouldn't be for all the reasons), but Tier 1 and Tenicor are my go to holsters. Everything from P365 to Gov model 1911.
