Wife and pluse friends went to KY mid January. Toured Buffalo Trace, Four Roses and Jim Beam. Spent one afternoon walking around Louisville checking out (didn’t tour) Evan Williams, Old Forrester, Angels Envy. Cut the trip short due to weather.
All in all, great trip. Will be heading back...
Virginia released their allocated bottles on Saturday. My son and I was able to pick up George T Stagg 2020 release. Hope to crack it open on Thanksgiving.
I was torn whether to leave it original or to paint it. The deciding factor was the modifications to the shelves that I could not replicate the color or style. The colors were between the indigo blue or a dark slate/black.
In the end, I have no regrets. I will be starting on the one to...
I started with Jack and Coke, which I still enjoy often. The brand that got me hooked was Basil Hayden which I thought was very smooth. Now my collection is ever growing. Welcome to the club
Picked up several bottles of Dawn Powerwash. Besides cleaning the grime off of tires, it works really well on dishes. Go figure! I couldn’t resist lol
While outside of Rochester last week, some colleagues and I decided to check out Iron Smoke Distillery in Fairport, NY.
Liked it enough to bring some home (which required me to check my bag, ugh).
Little off topic but, in what/how do you store/show-off your bourbons?
I just picked up an old Entertainment Armoire that we plan to convert into a liquor cabinet.
Wife, I and our friends toured the A. Smith Bowman Distillery today. Both the single barrel and the small batch is pretty good (IMO). The Caramel Bourbon Cream is for the wife.
