I posted this in another thread, but no reply yet. Trying here, maybe someone knows...

Can anyone provide the measurement for either A, B or both in the image below for a JL? B is most important and would be the top of the hitch to the bottom of the backup camera. Yes, I know B might vary based on drop down hitches, but I'm mainly looking for distance if a straight hitch. I think all JLs are the same, but in case not, looking for a JL 4 door Rubicon hitch measurements. Thanks!

A is roughly 8-8.5” to the tip of the camera. This is with a Draw-Tite Class III receiver. And this is a measurement that’s going to be most variable as receivers vary in length.

B is roughly 17-17.5” and should be consistent among straight receivers.

Excellent. Thank you very much. And the backup camera lined up perfectly with the hitch receiver, correct?

Why do people hide their license plate numbers when they post pics on here? Obviously you can't drive with it covered in public, so is there something about not showing it on public forums that I'm not aware of? Paranoia? I honestly don't see the harm of it.

It wasn't my picture, so out of respect, I removed their license plate info. Here is an article of why some blur it out.

I broke down and bought one (Kuat swing-away that is). Looks like it used to be called RakAttach by another company (and cost less). Kuat were smart enough to acquire them. Go to competitivecyclist.com, with a 15% first order discount it's $250 + tax. Otherwise it's $295 everywhere.

I just learned about this today from the Kuat folks. They indicated that some Jeeps spare tires made is difficult to release the lever, hence the Kuat engineers have just redesigned this lever and will make it available soon. I'm assuming this is more of an issue with the larger size tires.

Question, so if we go with the 'pivot' there is no need for an extension and the swing allows full access to the back of our jeeps, is that your experience? Also, can you still see with the backup camera? This does make it a bit more expensive, but I'll likely go with the Sherpa 2.0 to save a few dollars (and because I don't need the 4 bike carrier).

This appears to be a great solution to the problems noted above.
