It helps both the customer and manufacturer in that industry, because reliability data is what is used to determine maintenance intervals that get approved by the feds, and to determine when it's economically the right maintenance interval or a redesign of a component is needed. So, customer reported data is extremely important. Albeit more controlled customer reported data.

my jeep is leaking coolant from at least two places right now. (it’s already been fixed once) should still be under warranty though!

In April when they had to do a recall on all models delivered it was 3878, so at this point its probably higher but cant be more than 10k on the road in the whole country.

In June they supposedly reached a then-peak production of 1,300 per week so slowly ramping up.

Def see more Cybertrucks now than i did Broncos when they first came out.
