Jeep is a 2021 ETorque 3.6. Will any type of 12 volt battery tender work or do I need one of the newer high tech models?
Connect it to the starting battery like normal?

Does your Jeep sit for long periods between drives? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. If you are going to use one, I have two of the NOCO Genuis chargers that are fantastic. I had a cheaper brand fail without warning, and took the battery with it.
Hope this helps.

I would highly recommend a NOCO smart charger, the new 10 amp one has some really great features like force mode, reconditioning and also charges other types of batteries besides AGM .

NOCO's seem pretty nice.
Would the 5 amp model be sufficient?

@Thunderjet

A Noco 5 is a very good way to go for a guy/gal with a stock JL and it's dual battery system. I wouldn't even tell such a guy/gal to buy a Noco 10.
