Nice. That's waaaay more work than I was expecting.

Does your charger do 14.7v?

Thanks. Not sure I like it in the wheel well. Too much exposure to water, dirt, grime, and road muck.

Also the cheapo tenders only do 14.4v, ess batteries need 14.7 to properly charge as far as I know.

I have a optimate 5 (5amp) that will do 14.7 and pulse charge. Pricy but I use the 4 (1amp) on my bikes and they work great. Can resuscitate dead batteries too.

I wired my Battery Tender into a six pin trailer plug I already had and then used a 6 to 7 pin adaptor and just plug it into the factory trailer plug.
