No prob. The important point to take from this is that the winch itself will die before that solenoid does. One of the many observations i've noticed about the Jeep forums - every single member is the most hardcore rock crawling SOB the world has ever seen if you ask them - winching 747's down Hell's Revenge multiple times a day. Thus they need only the absolute best, which is all the stuff they have, of course.Gotcha. That's why I'm mechanical. I only know enough electrical to get very specific things done.
If you need a bigger disconnect to be able to sleep at night, then by all means, get one. I understand. But that solenoid is more than enough for any of the popular 12k winches out there, even if you use it more heavily than anyone here actually does.
