Hello
I’m interested in investing in the Baja ERA lights. It comes with a 3 position switch. I would like to incorporate it into my aux switches and not use the relay or the toggle switch provided. Do I need to use 2 aux switches for the flood and the other for spot ? I honestly want both to come on at the same time with one switch. Has anyone used and installed these with their aux switch ?

I think you mean the KC Flex ERA 4 light with combo lens? The combo lens just has Fresnel groves on two of the elements to spread the light out a bit, while two elements allow light through normally as a spot. You can replace that lens with another type if you want. They are not controllable separately spot vs. flood. What the do have is an amber backlight /pilot light which is what the other position on the KC switch is for.

Yes, you can run both off the Aux switches just fine without additional switches or relays. Just cut the wires on the KC harness coming from the lights and wire into the AUX wires under the hood by the battery. Use 1 or 3 for the bright lights and 2 or 4 for the backlight.

You can also tie the backlights into a switched power source as well to save yourself a Aux Switch. My Baja LP9 backlight is tapped into my DRLs, which is what BD recommended.
