Awning mounting safe or not?

Added a yakima skimshady 6.5 to my mopar crossbars as you can see I cant fully clamp it due to the mopar crossbar mount but it feels super solid should I just move it out so the clamps both squeeze or do you think it's fine the way it is downside to moving it out is it sticks out more.

Since it's possible to do, I'd absolutely reset those clamps. Can you move it in instead of out ?

I figured I would just have to move the awning further out so it can fully clamp down on end of crossbars thanks.

Can't move it in unless I shift the whole yakima megawarrior over

This is probably your best plan. I'd be worried about how they're currently clamped

Moved em now they seem snug I tighten them down preety good

how much off center ?
i'm not sure all roof bars are designed to have load on the outside of the foot. either way, if the load is inside the foot it's dispersed to both feet, if the load is outside of the foot it becomes pivot weight on one set of feet. check the manual for those cross bars.

The awning weighs next to nothing so weight shouldn't be an issue on the end of the crossbar however I would have to move the megawarrior basket over way to much and ide lose a foot of awning cover I'll just have to have it on the edge at this point.?
