My dealer just called me. I was expecting to call them back this Friday so I truly appreciate the communication. The reason they called is they have a few Jeeps ordered a month and a month and a half after mine that are in route for delivery PLUS they have '19 on the lot . They acknowledge something definitely isn't right with mine being stuck in I and it's just taking too long. Sounds like the GM is going to get involved and we'll decide what we are going to do. I am not sure what is in restriction or not for ordering right now if another order has to be placed. My personal deadline for delivery is 2nd week of Jan and then I am moving on. My order is a 2 Door Rubicon, 2.0T, Auto, completely loaded except Smokers group and maybe the engine block heater but I may have ordered that. Matching hard top and fenders, Sting Gray.

My intention was to purchase the 2018 but the chaos surrounding the manufacturing and logistics with no equipped Jeeps I wanted put the stop on that so I waited until Jeep sorted out their production and logistics nightmare only to order day 1 for '19 and end up with a delayed order LOL. Fucking Jeep. :headbang:

My personal take is the dealership is working on it now, they are going to try to facilitate the communication avenues which truthfully, Jeep should have a mechanism in place already with me. No this isn't Jeep Chat. I feel like for a company that pushes the Jeep lifestyle, they do a poor job getting the buyer involved from the very beginning like so many other manufacturers do so I am not upset, just a little annoyed and entertained that of course this would happen after waiting a year.

Fingers crossed but I'm neutral on this being sped or up being a disaster. We're approaching end of Nov, my ship date was Nov 3rd and 2nd week of Jan will be here soon so if it happens, great, if not I won't be surprised. I will say, if Jeep has a time line, meaning say a faulty wiring harness has caused issues with my Rubicon, they are waiting on parts its going to be end of Jan we're sure. That would be enough to keep my vested or rather invested interest.

Interesting. Jeep chat doesn't have any info, which isn't surprising. They just keep re-pasting the "we care about quality assurance" line. Last rep said if it takes too much longer they may be able to escalate it.

I ordered 9/12 and was built 11/1 and has been in inspection ever since (because Jeep cares about quality assurance). Somehow some jeeps go in and out of inspection in 1 day so I guess Jeep really doesn't care much about those people.
Doesn't it make you feel special?
Yesterday, when I went in to my dealer he called his FCA rep who told him the my jeep should be out of inspection by next Wed. No reason why he knows that.
Wonder how many wranglers are in this situation. I'm sure there is a valid reason ( like you get special lug nuts that are out of stock and we are waiting for them to come in or the CE light keeps coming on and we are trying to figure out if something is wrong or its just a jeep thing) but it would be nice to know what it is.

Agreed. Only 4 days in I for me so far, and Jeep chat loves to say they don't share status codes except D1 and KZ as the rest are internal-only (started getting that around the time JG got shut down... surprise surprise... same mentality making decisions). Good thing people are still people and it doesn't take much to get details out of someone poorly trained.

I'd love to know if the longer-than-one-day 'I' times are related to an actual issue, or just a deeper inspection. I'm sure FCA would love us to not know where in the process the Jeep stood. Why are automobile manufacturers so far behind the times? If anybody figures out what these 'I' delays are (paging @JlEngineline @W1ck3d ) that would be wonderful. I'd be extremely happy to hear my Jeep was just selected randomly for extra QC.

The days of hiding data are limited, FCA needs to wake up and realize they won't be able to get along with obscuring this kind of information much longer.

I just got into JB status after being in I for 11 days. Not sure if I'll stay in JB forever or go back to I or maybe my Jeep is already in transit?!? I feel like it's a crap shoot every time I contact Jeep Chat. They really have no idea what's going on I'm sure.

Well glad you got out at least! Congrats!

I’m sick of contacting Jeep chat as well. It’s just the same answer every time with no detailed information available.

I hope after all this wait mine doesn’t go to JB as well. I’m at 20 days in I currently.

Please tell me you notified the Dealer? Sorry if I missed it but 20 days is ridiculous!!!

I did today actually. Aren’t you further in than me?
You’re the longest I’ve seen. I’ve been in I since the 10th.

Ah ok. I think there’s one other on here from the 1st.
That’s right, AngryNewYorker or something. That is a huge RIP. I should have some info Monday on mine.

The rep told them that there was a huge backlog of vehicles they were working through and that they were still fixing some 2018s (that was about a week ago). They’re going to call him again on Monday.

They’re hesitant to clone it at this point although I sense I’ll get it quicker if they do. They had another order get cloned earlier this year and the cloned vehicle arrived quite a bit sooner than the original one.

My trade in value is guaranteed so the dealer is holding the risk at this point.

I just was on with jeep chat. I'm still in I. I asked how long and she said 23 days. Last time I asked they said since 11/1. I ordered 9/12
